Trouble Displaying Album Art
Some Crestron touchpanels when in RF mode are limited in their ability to transfer large amounts of data for album art. Depending on the performance of dynamic graphics on your touchpanel, it may not be practical to display album thumbnails when browsing content. To turn off the thumbnail display, set the EnableThumbnails parameter on the module to 0. This will turn off the thumbnail graphics during browsing operations and will improve the performance of browsing.
If you are experiencing slow or intermittent loading of the now playing album cover, lower the value of the ArtHeight parameter. This will lower the resolution of the graphic, facilitating faster and more reliable album art.
If you have more than one AppleTV module in your project, it is important that each one has a unique ArtServerPort value.
Difficulty Pairing
To reliably pair your AppleTV, please check the following:
1. Make sure you update your AppleTV device to the latest firmware.
2. Make sure you are using our Sample program to complete the pairing process. Once you've paired your device, you can reliably incorporate the module into your project.
3. Check the IP address of the AppleTV device in the Network settings of the device. Make sure you are using a static network address.
4. If you are receiving a licensing message, you may have to generate an activation code in order to use the license.
5. Please review the AppleTV integration guide supplied with the module and be sure to follow the setup guidelines precisely.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please use Toolbox to capture a debugger log during the attempted pairing, and send it to Support.
